Unrelenting Love

Lent 2016 : Day 38

In the Gospel of the day, Jesus is Rejected by the Jews (John 10. 31-42) we see Jesus about to be stoned for what His persecutors considered blasphemy. Jesus has explained that the works that He has done are in His Father's name and that He and the Father are one.

He adds, "If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father." (10.37-38)

We see again the constant obstacles that Jesus encountered as He tried to spread the word of the loving nature of His Father and the Kingdom.

Despite all these difficulties, Jesus persisted. The preaching continued. He often spoke in parables to convey his message. The miracles continued. Word spread about many being cured and people came and sought out Jesus. Through his preaching and many good works Jesus continued to convey His message.

How can we convey God's love to family members or friends who say they no longer hear God's voice?
