Unrelenting Love

Easter 2017

Reflection Posted : 2017-04-16 by : UL Staff

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

When we began our Lenten journey, what now seems so long ago, we committed ourselves to grow closer to our God through penance, reflection, alms giving, and self-denial.  As Holy Week brought us face to face with the reason for our Lenten journey we witnessed Christ triumphantly enter Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, and then tried by evil men, brutalized and crucified.

Today however we witness the resurrection, the completion of a story and a journey that for humanity began when Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son for God.  It is no coincidence that this story mirrors Christ’s.  While God released Abraham from sacrificing his son at the last moment once Abraham had shown faith, God did not spare His only Son to free us from our sin.  It is through Christ’s obedient death that we are freed from sin, and through His resurrection that we are granted eternal life.

As we celebrate Easter with our families and friends, and enjoy this sacred and amazing time of year, let us keep Christ close in our hearts, let us sing and rejoice, and let us pronounce our risen Lord to the world.

On behalf of everyone at Unrelenting Love, we would like to thank you for journeying with us this Lent, and for allowing us to share our faith with you.

May your heart be ever filled with the love and peace of Christ, and may God bless you and your family abundantly not only during Easter but throughout the year.

God Bless you!
